MEET THE FOUNDER

Service is personal.
So is the mission.

Sal CaiozzoFounder & Principal Consultant

As a disabled veteran and longtime veterans advocate, Sal brings lived experience to public policy and a commitment to the people behind every issue.

His background includes leadership as Commander of DAV Chapter 9 in Kent County, Rhode Island, and a 2018 run for Congress. He was also commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel by the Governor of Kentucky. His advocacy focuses on veterans’ benefits, toxic exposure, caregiver support, and disability rights.

Sal has helped develop resolutions that became federal legislation and contributed input to the writing of the PACT Act.

The PACT Act expands VA health care and benefits for veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances. It recognizes additional illnesses as presumptively connected to qualifying military service, easing the burden of proving that service caused those conditions. Learn more from VA.

Through Caiozzo Policy Group, he helps organizations and leaders shape their priorities, build support, and move ideas toward meaningful public policy.
